First day of school

My son had his first day of school recently. There was an official ceremony. We sang. The headmaster gave a speech. The whole nine yards.

The best part was unexpected. The school flew in a panel of experts. Their expertise? They were experts at having their first day of school. Second-graders. They'd done it one year ago.

They were asked the usual questions: what their favorite subject was, what they liked best about school, etc.
